So, after the nearly 4x average rainfall in May (12.05 inches), we're looking to get June's average rainfall in the next 24 hours. Which will double the preciptation already this month. The fruit will suck this summer if this keeps up (well, at least the cherries, which are all I really care about so far as summer fruit is concerned), but at least everything is green and lovely.

One of my coworkers has a fortune taped up on her name plate: "Education is less expensive than ignorance." Sure, says I, but I'll bet you ignorance has cheaper textbooks.

I've been turned around, I've been mystified by true love, and that ain't the hardest part.

I am apparently on a Ryan Adams kick the past few days, as I've been listening to pretty much all of what I've got by him today and Monday. I think it's his voice. Also, sometimes I just have too much music and have to pick a very small collection of stuff to listen to instead of the great scary unknown-ness that lurks in my iTunes.

But mostly it's his voice. If only he'd go back to looking gorgeous instead of like the Unibomber, I'd marry him.

Actually, I've found there are some of his songs that I dislike intensely. not for lyrics or music or anything like that, but because he's not using his voice properly. I skip them, and move on to the good ones instead. :)

(also, I would like to mention that I did not pick the wedding icon for this post. My client did.)

Wow.

Arlen Spector opposed the gay marriage amendment. For Republican reasons, not moral grounds, but it's still impressive whatever his reason is. He is now officially the least evil of the PA senators. Granted, this is not hard, since his competition is Santorum. But still. It's the little things that count.

eye update

I'm apparently a posting fool today.

Anyways, this is just to say that my pupils are almost the same size again--the left eye is reacting to light again, albeit a little more slowly than the right one. Tomorrow I get to wear a contact in it again! Yay!

If there are the proper sort of people out there, my radiostation (www.99x.com , Radio X from Atlanta) is going to be broadcasting Peter Murphy and Trent Reznor playing together at 5. You have a half hour to get something like audacity working on your computer also, so you can save this to share with Amanda who is at work which hates music.
