(no subject)

Well, according to the wedding quiz thing, tikimama secretly wants to marry me. I'm sure they're wrong, as that's not the sort of thing she would keep secret. Likewise, crowyhead would totally marry me if we were both lesbians and Dave was otherwise taken, I'm sure. anyways, I didn't end up married to anyone really thrilling, alas. Mostly because the boys I love aren't on LJ. ;)

About half of my stuff is packed up. Tomorrow after work will be crazy. I really need a small suitcase to carry around with me, as right now my choices are a softsided huge one or an even huger on wheels. I'm thinking I'll pack the soft one, albeit lightly, and take it to work with me wednesday with, ideally, all clothing I will need before the 13th. and then maybe put the clothing I"ll be wearing to work on thursday in my backpack or such, dump the bag with someone who has a hotel room (yes?) and thus minimize how often I have to stand on the metro with a big old suitcase. but this is still me thinking things through--tomorrow's plan may be different. THis is why I don't plan my life out. I'd get stuck at about, oh, friday. Tomorrow I will move the boxes of
books up to the 4th floor and move my books onto a big old bookcase up there, to minimize the amount of stuff I'll end up stowing in a friend's room.

So a little while ago, boingboing had a link to an lj archive tool. And I really like it. it's so easy to search through my journal that way, for all those time and times and times where I know I talked about something in the past but google won't find it.

Oh, and for thsoe people who just don't get enough snark from TWOP, http://fuggingitup.blogspot.com/ Oh, lord, please don't let people try and dress like Brittney on this page. Or really, like anyone on this page. The girl writing it, though, is just the cat's pajamas of snark.

http://www.awfulplasticsurgery.com/ is interesting too, though I always wonder just how much belief can be placed in some of the pictures, as they can just be better/worse makeup, clothing, etc. The pictures of Eliza Dushku though are good, as she's in the same pose in both photos. The bad boob jobs section is pretty traumatic. And scary, if those teen stars really are getting boob jobs already.

The only thing this list is missing that my slush is 'blessed' with is the one that makes me want to go smack people with rolled up newspapers.

On the other hand, this personal from Craigslist is excellent, right from the start. I particularly like the use of white space with regards to the second paragraph. Just beautiful, really.
