Alas, mr all that is in NC, and not writing to me, so I have no way of knowing if he truly is all that or not. He should be up in October, though, or maybe November, so I'll see him then, hopefully.

Last week, KB apparently got yelled at by one of my housemates for, as they saw it, being mean to me when I said something reminded me of a story. Somehow, despite not usually needing protection, I always end up with friends who protect me. He asked if I'd been upset by it at the time, and I hadn't been--I mean, it startled me, and I stumbled in the storytelling there, but the story I told was actually related to what we'd been talking about, and he'd admitted it, so it worked out fine for me. But it always surprises me when people get upset for me--as if I've shown any reluctance to stand up for myself in general.

So, currently I've got to find sleeping space for wednesday of this week through sunday or so of the week after next. I have been offered space for Thursday through sunday this week, and I'm planning to go to plymouth next weekend. So that just leaves Wednesday this week, and monday through thursday of next week. I've written to my brother. If he can't do either group of time, then I ask my director if I can stay in the house on Wednesday, and then go to plymouth next monday, and commute in and back every day. Not 'fun,' by any classic definition, but 'doable.' And I adore my aunt Ann, so spending the time with them wouldn't be a problem. A little odd, perhaps, but I'm actually somewhat tempted to do it. It's just expensive to commute in from there, and will take about an hour and a half--I'll be catching the train when I'm used to getting up now. So my brother's my first choice option, then I'll ask my director, then I"ll ask my aunt.


My horoscope becomes a lot more fun when you read "crazymonkeyloveslave" where it says, "friend." Afterall, what's the point of year of the monkey if I'm not going to get even some hotmonkeylove. (I'm suspecting that the relationship I have with the KB is best classified as hotmonkeylike--all the angst, none of the nudity.)

Okay. While I remember, anyone have a lead on a Worldcon membership up for grabs? I will buy at the door if I must, but if there's one available, it just makes sense. I have checked the sff.net worldcon group thing already, but any other suggestions are welcomed.
