There's a personal on Nerve that lists "The book of Bunny Suicides" as the last great book they've read.  Between that and the code monkey description, I may be in love.  (don't worry, I'll be better soon.)

Today's plans started out being something about working on Like Rain, one of my YA novels.  Yeah.  One of.  But I adore it, and don't want to break it, so I'm pondering redoing falling as a novel first, and then trying it once I have a clue how to write a novel.  But I don't know how to write a novel, and especially not when I've already finished it once.  I suspect it will start with printing it out at work tomorrow, along with the pages of notes I made.  Alas, my workshop notes aren't here (well, not my SH workshop ones.  The others should be, now that I think of it.)

My (pirate) copy of Office is somewhere at sea in my mom's house, and thus I'm sad because I miss being able to look at my sub tracker.  I can't remember which stories are still out, and which ones should be out, though I think most of the ones I've had out lately are either nearly new or nearly done.

Tomorrow is Bunker Hill Day, which the library celebrates.  Yeah, I'm confused too.  Still, I'm considering changing my religion to 'Historian," as I think it would allow me the most religious holidays.

No chai boy tomorrow, at least not upstairs.  I may stop downstairs tomorrow and see if he's working down there--he was last sunday, for example--or I may not.  I still need to do something about getting more money at work, but my mom's suggestions are so opposite things I can do (talking about money, for example, is so not going to happen.)  Office boy teaches a class, so if I time it properly this week (as I manged accidentally last week), I may get to walk out to the metro stop with him again.

I'm pretty sure there was something else here.  Hmm.  Interesting.

Dinner last night:  Vegatable couscous (so good.  *Soooooo* good), with a tomato and carmelized onion yogurt sauce to go with it.  (Low-fat yogurt, so I could only just taste it as I didn't want an upset stomach, but kitchen boy is going to stock (yeah, the first time I wrote it as stalk, go ahead, laugh at me) whole milk yogurt for cooking from now on), sauteed green beans, and a salad that vanished faster than you might have thought possible.  There were no leftovers, which may be partly because he's still getting used to the amount of food he needs to cook, but is undoubted also related to the fact that everyone had seconds.

Dinner the night before last:  salad (ditto, but with homemade croutons),  ginger basmati rice, and baked tofu with an orange-soy reduction (which I tried, and which was probably fabulous for those who like the texture of tofu.  Last week one day we had salmon terriayki which was even better as cold leftovers the next day.  And still I think my weight is creeping down.

Today, though, I suspect that people can feel sorry for me--it's a barbeque, and even the veggieburgers have MSG in them (to be exact, "autolyzed yeast extract"), so I'll probably have crudites and hamburger buns for dinner.  But who knows.  It's the last day for the old cook--she's moving somewhere, though I don't think that they even know where yet.

And now it's work time, but I should mention that yesterday in an unusual example of computer dexterity, I managed to delete most of my buddy list--some of my clarion list, all of my workshop list, and a large number of other people (for example, yesterday I think I had 70-some on my friends list. Today I have 21), so if you want to make sure you're on my buddy list, make sure to IM me today so I remember that you're a real person.
