One of the pieces for tomorrow felt flat. It's wrong, but I can't explain why, or what would make it feel less flat for me. Which is frustrating, because it's the second piece by this author which has felt flat. I don't know if it's just a first draft flaw, which are quite common around here (I have this tendency to use one really truly wrong word once in the story: "coolest" in a very formal medieval/regencies story, 'crash' (in the stay for the the night sense) in a far future planet colonization piece.)

There's a big daddy taxi service in town. "Who's your daddy." says the side of the cars.

Okay, so Geoff was talking to me about my story today, Blinding the Seasons. I have an ending that while ambigous, has the hope for a cure. He wants me to write the Cassandra's life, 50 years down the line with no cure. Which is not at all the story I was writing. but is fascinating. And I want to write it *too*. :-) not instead, in addition. And I don't know how I can write the same story twice with completely different endings. I mean, essentially my original story solves the problem. The other story would be an alt history of a made up world.
