Okay, so Geoff was talking to me about my story today, Blinding the Seasons. I have an ending that while ambigous, has the hope for a cure. He wants me to write the Cassandra's life, 50 years down the line with no cure. Which is not at all the story I was writing. but is fascinating. And I want to write it *too*. :-) not instead, in addition. And I don't know how I can write the same story twice with completely different endings. I mean, essentially my original story solves the problem. The other story would be an alt history of a made up world.

Well, Kim Stanley Robinson's Orange County trilogy is three alt. histories of a made up world, so it's been done.

You can do it!

You certainly can write the same story with a different take. I have seen it done at least once. The problem would be selling both of them.

Ah! Tom, that's not your address, you bastard. And none of the others work either! Write to me. Both my yahoo and my earthlink addresses work. And I'm actually in MI right now. :)
