The problem with Netflix is I can watch entirely too many bad independent films.  This one might not be as bad as it could be,  as I think it's got Ken Marino in it. As a police officer, no less.  I may have a theory involving Ken Marino and movies that don't suck.   ('m 2/3rds through it, and it's probably the least sucky of the other indies I've seen lately, Nice Guys Sleep Alone and that horrific horrific one I watched a few months ago.  People doing first movies seem to do the episodic sort of movie more than is strictly necessary.  It's probably the visual equivelent of my lack of transitions.  SCENE BREAK!

I have possibly bought several more pieces of fabric that are completely the wrong shade--I bought one called Angel Blush, which according to my monitor was a cream with a hint of pink.  Yeah.  It's actually PINK.  Pale PINK, but none the less, PINK.  I have a feeling the "farie dust' I've also got ordered may be entirely too yellow, but I'll wait and see, and if so, send the whole lot of them back.  CURSES.

I did find a new used place in JP--new for me.  Boomerangs, which my brother idolizes.  If anyone needs a oh, 12 foot oak dining room table for 300, I highly recommend getting yourself over there.  (It was the sort of thing that made me wish I had the space for such a thing, just so I could buy it.  I got a stack of cheap books (cheap romances, Great Lies to Tell Small Children and two trades) and looked at a lot of books which I did not buy (including such things as War for the Oaks TP and So Yesterday).  Then we had Indian Buffet lunch (Bukkara)  I could have had goat curry, but chickened out instead.  (Murg Tikka Malsala.)  And all the rest of the fixings, of course.  And then wandered on to Forrest Hills, I'm not sure why--Green Street was surely closer.  Maybe my brother just likes spending time with me!  Though they did want to show me a cute store to look for a cute present for Janet and my mom in.

I found the PERFECT gift for my stepmother.  How perfect is it?  My dad said, "She dresses like an art historian, you know, kinda sedate with quirky jewelry."  So I found a necklace today, and I'm very pleased with it, and I show it to a former board member who's around when I get home, and she's admiring it, and I tell her what my dad had said, and she says, 'I'm an art historian!"  and I said, "see, and you liked it!"  so, PERFECT.  I'll probably find some other things for her, this was very cheap.  But whoa, perfect.
