Aug. 28th, 2006 11:57 amI usually don't covet shoes. Sometimes I'll be mildly intrigued by them, or love them or buy them. but very very rarely do I covet.
Cue the Frye sandal I saw at the Tannery yesterday.

It's everything that bothers me about shoes, practically. It's trendy, it's brown, it's not at all sensible, god knows what it would go with.
And I still want it. NOW.
There are also some cute clarks 'Artisian" clogs, and really pretty Ecco Mary Janes (I would probably buy them if they were backless). But I just liked them, I didn't WANT them. Covetting is apparently reserved just for impractical shoes. I can't find any attractive Merrells yet--these are possible, as are these, but they're last year's shoes, so I'm hoping it's just early for them. I need new sensible work shoes, since the sandals aren't going to cut it this winter.
