WFC!

Well, that was a busy (and expensive!) evening, but I've now got a plane ticket, a WFC membership, roommates, and room reservations.

Those were the most fun, let me tell you. The con hotel is sold out for thursday, so I have friday and Saturday rooms, and then just for my peace of mind, made a Thursday reservation at one of the nearby hotels that the hotel suggested. My guess is I'll probably cancel it in favor of something the con hotel suggests (particularly if there's one closer), but at the very least, I have it as a fall back place, and will not need to sleep in the lobby.

i will need to talk to my boss about how I will be taking off the time (comp time!) since I'm all out of vacation time, but hopefully he won't care. I'll even promise to take my laptop and check things from there, if necessary. But really, 12 hours of work missed shouldn't make a big deal. Right? *hopes* At least this way I've already bought the tickets, so worst case I can take a personal day. Mental Health!

All the TH people may notice some familar names on the membership. (Okay, mostly I meant Jayme. though CdL will also be there.) And lots of people I miss! And lots of people I know but have never met! And some that may even know me! *is too excited to sleep*

Remind me tonight to give you the alternate hotel info the con chair emailed me this morning. Cheap rate for Thursday night and a shuttle running every hour to the main hotel.

They didn't book many rooms for Thursday and they were shocked and amazed when they sold out a long, long time ago. There is another convention that overlaps us on Thursday and they took 'all' the rooms.

Oh, good. This place is actually totally cheap as well, it's just a ways away.

Though if it was 'ages ago,' perhaps updating the website would be useful?

One would think updating the website was a good idea, yes. The last time anything was updated was, oh, June.
