tanaiseI went to lunch with one book, and came back with 10. stupid library! (if only it delivered, everything would be perfect.)
Even though I just told myself I wasn't spending anymore money for a while (I pay my bills too quickly! 9 more days till pay day and I'm scrimping already.), I'm probably going out to dinner on Wednesday (the original chinese place turns out to already be closed, but there are others suggested so we'll see if any appeal, and definately going drinking on Thursday with my brother. Life would be easier if I didn't have bills, ohmigod.
In related news, I'm planning on spending a lot of money in the next few days, so there had better be people at WFC when I get there, okay? but the plane ticket is $285 for good flights, and I haven't gone to any con this year. (I asked my mom if I should go, that's what she said first, and then she said, 'wait, which one gives you all the books? Go to that one!' ) So thank heavens I cleaned off my credit cards, right? (I do have to remember that 'cleaning off a credit card' by putting the money on another with lower interest doesn't *really* count as cleaning it off, since that behavior doesn't get me closer to having no bills.)
Perhaps I should sell another story. Perhaps I should finish another story. Though my Were-moose story is up to 1060 (and stalled for lack of plot) and Light Up is at 2700 and stalled for lack of getting to the plot, so I have things that could go to FSF if I could just get them finished!
PS: The (horrrrrrible) romance novel I was reading this morning had (along with the girl's, 'eyelashes flutter[ing] in appreciation of his manly attributes' or some such gag-worthy text) 'flaccid' toast. I'm fairly sure this is one of few--if any--times I've seen the word 'flaccid' in a romance novel. And the rest of the time I expect it was something more like, 'now-flaccid' or 'no-longer flaccid.'
