Jun. 20th, 2006 11:33 amI have been lax in my cow photos lately, it's true. Maybe today after work (and a secret surprise for one of the coworkers) I'll go get the Theatre District and Downtown Crossing cows (I was on the phone the last time I walked by them. "Sorry Ben, I need to hang up, I have to take pictures of these cows." is not really something my dad would understand, and I don't *like* arguing with him. It's just that it's apparently easier than not arguing sometimes.) Sorry. Side tracked.
Anyways, to make up for the lack of the Cow photos, I'll give you a special bonus--I got sent a note by the artist of the HM cow--the Dic•tion•ar•y Cow, with a link to pictures of how the cow came to be.
Dic•tion•ar•y Cow Lifecycle
And the Cow herself:

(I always look at my cow pictures and think, 'Wow, they really suck." Some could be better it's true, but come on. It's a freaking cellphone! I'm not sure if cellphone cameras make up for the lack of rocket cars, but it's not like it's something anyone even thought of when they were making up rocket cars. "And everyone should have phones no bigger than their fists which will take electronic photos that they can share with others immediately." They're only slightly less ridiculous an idea as the whole laptop thing. Like anyone's making a computer that small.
I think mostly I feel they suck because it's true, they're not the quality of photos from my real camera, which has the crystal clear freakishly sharp photos that are approximately the size of my room. They are different cameras, with different pluses and minuses, and I love them both in different ways (Well, where 'different' means 'more' in the case of the real camera). I am also scared to try any fancier camera than the one I have now because I fear I would fall even more in love with it than all previous cameras and be forced to spend hundreds on yet another a camera I don't need. Ooh. Or I could just wait until my brother upgrades his digital-SLR.)
