Jun. 8th, 2006 04:23 pmOKay, finished it. (Work? what's that).
Light. Amusing. Good. Like most of my favorite books, it wasn't that I ever wondered if it wouldn't end up where I knew it would, it was just the trip that mattered. And the trip was quite nice, if rather fast. The problem with reading something really fast is that my brain kinda gets trapped there and forgets it's not a real place. I now have a disconcerting need to think of boys as delicate things that need to be protected, and wonder what they're doing at work. This lead to quite interesting thoughts during a meeting when I kept staring at one of my annoying coworkers and wishing that his sisters didn't let him leave the house. It's pleasantly dissonant. I may need to write my Places A Woman Can Walk story, it's the right sort of mood for that, I think.
