Apr. 21st, 2004 03:56 pmbah. i slept very very badly last night, and I don't know why. I think I was worrying. I do that some times. Plus, my singulair is almost all gone, and I haven't been able to get to a CVS to get it refilled, so I skipped a couple of days, and I always forget that when I have problems breathing, it starts triggering panic attacks, but it's really not fun.
Work is very much still meh. And not only is it meh, but my supervisor twice told me to slow down and take breaks. And I did, and I'm still almost done with what she wanted me for. So forget slowing down, I'm totally slacking off. I checked email, I read LJ, I'm about 30 seconds worth of boredom away from painting my nails, but luckily there's just a highlighter nearby, and it's yellow. Not my color.
And I relabled all the mailboxes for this division so that they're alphabetical, and posted a warning sign about it, and someone stopped by my cube to tell me I'd done a good job. and the thing is, I'm glad they liked it, I'm glad it's more useful and all that, but hello? "Good job," they said, and all i wanted to reply was, "and everyone tried to tell me a liberal arts education wouldn't be good for anything." Which is too snarky for a work environment. Clearly I should have majored in something useful for today's business world. Like Plant Science.
Hmm. See that little rainbow box under my picture up there? yeah? that's my tracker. And it tells me that I've got a reader from randomhouse.com. speak up, stranger! And the rest of you who read me regularly and comment--you know you can get a free account even if all you want to do is comment on people's LJs. (she says, knowing that it's just a matter of time before they get sucked into regular journalling.) And those of you who read me regularly and don't comment--I know who you are, and you're off my xmas list. (not that you necessarily were ever on my xmas list, mind you, so it's mostly an idle threat.)
Meh. I think I'm coming back here tomorrow, but I don't think there's anyway they're going to keep me for friday. So with the hatred of the unknown. At least I'm $180 (before taxes) richer. Oh, and speaking of the known, and the love, lunch with Kiwi tomorrow. wheee!
And I hear my boss returning, so i'll make with the posting and the innocence.
