Well, I woke up this morning to an unknown call, so I just let it switch over to voicemail. Better that they get voice mail than a creaky early morning me. Sure enough, it's the temp agency. Want me to call for more info/to set up an interview. Which is wheee! because hello? very prompt. but also eeeee! because, hello? they're going to ask me what I did for the past year.

But 'what i did for the last year' should be fine, surely? Something like 'I took a year to focus on my writing career, and have had some publication success as well as increasingly positive responses to submissions, but I find that I need the variety and stimulus of a city (or at least not country) environment to keep me motivated - and I miss the demands and challenges of a busy work environment' etc etc witter witter, sounds fine to me (and it may even be true!)
