Rick and Becky picked me up at just after 5, and we had a very nice drive to Framingham. We were, um, Fashionably Early, so they went to the bar, and I went to walmart to get cash and nibblies for later. And I got back to the restaurant just slightly before most of the rest showed up, and then we waited another 4 million years for the table to be available, so really, it was good that we got there early. It was planned. Really.

Dinner was excellent--not just the food, which was very good, but the company, and the conversation and everything. Though clearly a rotation scheme needs to be worked out for large parties so no one gets ignored except on purpose.

And speaking of people who should be ignored on purpose, Andrea's dad and crazy-aunt think we're lesbian lovers. And not just that, we met online. Skanky long-distance lesbian lovers!

And I discovered that the reason why I'd commented on a Teaism bag at Amanda's house the day before, asking if they had them up here, whereupon both Amanda and Andrea stared blankly at me, and I returned to reading the newspaper, was that it was actually the bag that I'd given Andrea to transport books up to Amanda in, as she gave them back.

And then I lectured on writing and the state of publishing and etc etc, and probably bored the pants off Rick, though Becky did keep asking questions and otherwise contributing, so either she wasn't as bored or she was being polite. ;)

And I've actually been thinking of short stories lately, so since Dena's off having an easter celebration, I think I may camp out right here and see if I really do miss writing on a laptop. Though I still miss mine with the touch pad mouse (which is visiting Andrea's friends, hopefully to return working again), it's funny how much happier my hands are on a laptop keyboard. It's nice and small, and i don't have to stretch for the keys. :) So I'm off to try some writing now, and I'll be back later.

You obviously have ultra-tiny hands. Or stubby fingers.

I didn't even hear that comment, or didn't connect it or something. Too funny! You'd actually COMMENTED on the bag of books I nevertheless kept forgetting! I can be such a doofus... :)

Hey, my pants stayed on the entire time. I thought it was interesting. I'd love to write stories and stuff and make money and have groupies. Right now I have LJ so I can write stuff and, um, more stuff and pretend I have groupies. As it is, I don't have groupies, I just have people who want to kick my ass.

Well, I also have people who want to kick my ass on TH. They also think I'm arrogant (I'm not, I just pretend to be online...and in real life). On LJ no one will admit I'm arrogant, 'cause they all fancy themselves even arroganter than me. They're not, but I humor them.

Oh, and it was delightful to meet you. Now that you are a local-in-training, we'll have to get together sometime. If you find yourself in the Big City, lets have lunchage.
