Jenny, did I remember to tell you that the current Smithsonian has an article about the Anasazi (also available online in PDF form) which mentions cannibalism. and a quote from the NYT review of books (for an unrelated book that reminded me that I might not have told you about the Smithsonian). "Cannibalism seems a quaint, titillating subject where we usually encounter it, in anthropological studies and spooky legends. "
