I'm wearing I think my third outfit of the day--Jeans and Zoo shirt in the morning, jean shorts and blue tank, jean shorts and violet shirt, tan shirt and blue tank. sort of fourth and a half. I recycle clothing when I'm 'vacationing' like this. :) And it's freaking hot. Probably not hotter than DC, but I'm doing more here than I was usually doing there. Heck, half the time there I didn't even bother leaving the building for lunch. Here we went for a brisk...1/5 mile walk to get our pictures taken for our IDs. then back here, where I stared at the computer and thought about things, including but not limited to, cute boys, why my stories hate me, how hot it was, if I wanted to watch Korn on MTV2 or anything on CMTV(CMTV won), then off to dinner with a bunch--we went en mass, but had the waitress put stuff on 3 tabs--4 people to each, so much easier to sort out than the whole 12, but not as much of a pain as the twelve of us paying individually.

back here, where three of us discovered that we didn't have two of the stories for tomorrow, and furthermore, we couldn't get them. grrr. (I'm not sure what to do about this. I think I'll try to get up when my alarm goes off tomorrow and try and get a little reviewing done before the class officially starts. ) showered--cause I hate feeling sticky and gross, and then sat around with my computer for a while. Discovered that the virus from yesterday (yes, thank you, I am a bimbo. I'd etherneted my computer but forgot to turn off sharing, and everything had been shared because I was swapping files at home and wanted to put them all in the right place. So I got infected. And I cleaned out the virus itself no problem, but I had to look up how to clean up the odds and ends of it. it hid stuff from me, and changed names. so I wasn't please with it. But I think I have it all fixed now.) had left traces, cleaned them up, stared at the computer screen--oh, in the 3-6 slot, put 'caught up on Sluggy Freelance and critted one story.'--watched cartoon network, stared at the screen. talked things over with a friend about one of the stories, then decided I don't like it at all, so I'm going to momentarily try a different one, see if that one gets anywhere. My muse is often nocturnal, so I may manage to get something written, if I'm lucky. And they have caffiene for us also, so that'll good in the morning.

Oh, and I'm all pleased with myself. One of the boys said something, and I said, "what? How old are you?" and he said, "ten years older than you." He's 31. :) I'm so not 21. The youngest is 22, I think. and the oldest is 46? about what I'd guessed. and oddly enough there are 5 boys born in 1970 I think. Dogs, all of them! :) We had vietnamese for dinner. We all read our placemats.

Oh, and one of the boys here reviews for GMR. I'm trying not to hold it against him. He's probably never met Cat. or talked to him more than was absolutely necessary.

Already I've picked up on which people I will want to pay careful attention to when we crit one of my stories, and who I'll take less seriously. I've already sorted out people along the spectrum clueless to aware, which would be surprising except we've already run 7 stories through the works. And I know who I agree with often, and who I don't, and who seems to be reading a different story than I was. :)

That said, my new theory is that I'm going to sub Clanless this week so that I can work longer on my new story. I'd rather have the extra time for working on Sea Change this week, than rush through it and have a less than excellent story. But I'm not sure about it. I have to see if maybe I can finish one of the others.
