Tanaise: I'd like her walling off to be more literal.
#name surpressed for their own protection#: *laugh!*

Man in the Iron Mask-, or Cask of Amontillado-style walling off?
Tanaise: hmm.
Tanaise: both!

I still say "The Cask of Amontillado" is more fun. I mean, he eventually gets out in Man in the Iron Mask.

I was thinking, first the mask, and then the walling up. See?

Plus, you know, brick muffles the sound more. I think this is an important consideration. Oh, yeah, and the Iron Mask guy was way hot. So, you know.

I dunno. I mean, I'd think after years of wearing that mask, his face would be all pasty and scarred. But then, Dumas (and Hollywood) weren't exactly sticklers for accuracy. And then I suppose, he couldn't have taken the place of the king.

Well, pasty would have been fine. I mean, he was supposed to be a nobleman. Clearly, if they'd wanted to make him not pass for the king, they would have scarred him to begin with, or made him spend regular periods of time in the sun.
