tanaiseThe Wrens, "Meadowlands" is on sale at amazon for $1.99. "Everyone choose Sides" was on the Year's Best Songs of 2003 and is one of the few songs on that list that I liked that I still don't own. (also: 6 O'clock News, Now it's on.) That was the best year for the list EVER, I have to say. Perhaps I will write to Stereogum and try to get them to put the Granddaddy on sale too.
there was threats of snow when I was looking at the weather last night, but it seems to have 'warmed up' "While lake-effect snow squalls may wind down tomorrow, a strengthening ocean storm will increase winds over New England." Oh, good. because I was hoping it would be windier up here.
While I'm at it, let's see what the weather will be like while Hannah is fighting off pre-teens in NYC. Aw, there we go. "Wednesday Overnight Low: 22°F" But that's up here. Down there in the big city, it's going to be positively balmy. (much like (the idea of) Hannah at a midnight showing.) 29, and only an 8 mph wind.
I apparently am getting paid lunch hours now. I feel very fancy, and possibly from the 1950s. (particularly when combined with the Pension plan. And the occasional boxes of remaindered books. (I'm told they're often largely Tor, Tor Paranormal, and the romance lines. SO EXCITED.))
