Nov. 27th, 2006 04:12 pmI'm re-reading Zodiac because it's a paperback (the downside of library books is that they're almost always hardbacks.), and because it's good and fun to re-read (for definitions of 'fun' that include near-Silent Spring levels of paranoia.) (ooh, triple threat: SS, The Sheep Look up, and Zodiac. I think I'd move to Oregon and live in a straw bale house after that.) Bonus: the cute boy who's always out and about soliciting money for Childrens' International yelled "Good Book" at me as I walked by reading at lunch.
I may need to re-read Snowcrash after this. Or maybe some Sarah Zettel? I think I'm in a SF mood, and I never know what books to read for that.

Date: 2006-11-28 10:10 pm (UTC)Try "Antarctica," or any/all of the California trilogy: The Gold Coast, the Wild Shore, and one other. The latter 3 are the same place, the same time, but very different futures. Interesting connections between them... conceptual, but cool.
