So Mark was in town again, and bored, so he called me up to see if I wanted to go out to dinner, which of course I did. We went for Indian food this time. I had the lamb shish kebab. And Naan. I love naan. And whatever the Indian equivalent of the Greek cucumber stuff I totally adore. I love all cultures that involve lamb and cucumber-yogurt sauce. And I spent like the whole time talking. Mostly about Clarion, but then onto a more general publishing discussion, followed by a lecture on the state of SF publishing, mostly out of memory, but helped by the notes I took during Patrick's lecture on SF publishing at Clarion. :)

Oh! And speaking of Patrick, I mean to read his blog, but I usually only remember that when I see his wife quoted in http://boingboing.net. So, giving credit where credit is due, from http://boingboing.net/2002_08_01_archive.html#85358787 to http://nielsenhayden.com/makinglight/archives/2002_08.html#001409 to http://web.media.mit.edu/~solan/dogsinelk/ :) and I've now seen the last of my friends on IM head off to bed, so I'm heading off myself.

Mmm...

NAAN.

The Malaysian version of naan is good too, but nothing beats fresh-out-of-the-oven all-you-can-eat plain naan.

Yum!

Totally agreed on the lamb and cucumber-yogurt sauce. Damn, now I'm wishing there was a good Greek/Mediterrenean/Middle Eastern restaurant in San Jose! There are a bunch in the greater SF Bay Area, but they're all at least an hour from where I live/work. *sigh*

Now I'm going to be craving lamb for days. Drat it. You suck! ;)
