Aug. 21st, 2002 12:24 amSo Mark was in town again, and bored, so he called me up to see if I wanted to go out to dinner, which of course I did. We went for Indian food this time. I had the lamb shish kebab. And Naan. I love naan. And whatever the Indian equivalent of the Greek cucumber stuff I totally adore. I love all cultures that involve lamb and cucumber-yogurt sauce. And I spent like the whole time talking. Mostly about Clarion, but then onto a more general publishing discussion, followed by a lecture on the state of SF publishing, mostly out of memory, but helped by the notes I took during Patrick's lecture on SF publishing at Clarion. :)
Oh! And speaking of Patrick, I mean to read his blog, but I usually only remember that when I see his wife quoted in http://boingboing.net. So, giving credit where credit is due, from http://boingboing.net/2002_08_01_archive.html#85358787 to http://nielsenhayden.com/makinglight/archives/2002_08.html#001409 to http://web.media.mit.edu/~solan/dogsinelk/ :) and I've now seen the last of my friends on IM head off to bed, so I'm heading off myself.

Mmm...
Date: 2002-08-20 11:14 pm (UTC)The Malaysian version of naan is good too, but nothing beats fresh-out-of-the-oven all-you-can-eat plain naan.
Yum!
