Nov. 15th, 2006 01:20 amI've dosed the tree a second time. And I think maybe tomorrow or thursday I will have to repot the plant--there's a chance the spider mites are nesting in the soil, and I can't pour enough bad things into the soil to kill them without, well, killing my tree. Also, the extended rinse/repeat cycle has lowered my soil level, and has the roots more exposed than I'd like anyway. So I'll buy a new bag of dirt down at the store, and dump out and rinse the dirt off all the roots, and then repot with new soil. I should probably buy a new pot as well, instead of just reusing this one--it's not that attractive, and it's just the right size for it *now* (which does mean I could repot in it, but also means I might want to go a size up while I'm at it. I'll have to see if the store even has a pot big enough.
This also means I want to do this now vs a month from now when I"d have to conduct this whole thing on a tarp in the basement or something. So I would write this all in my date book if I kept a date book. (Near total lack of dates. And thus you can forget about me buying an engagement calendar next year either.) But I don't, so I'll just have to hope I remember this after work tomorrow. Oh, and a 'generic' plant food, whatever that may be. So that's:
Pot
potting soil
plant food.
And I bought a lock, so I can go to the gym after work and change and all that. We'll see if that happens.
