Sep. 11th, 2006 12:07 pmI realised the other day that the reason I hate the Artic Monkeys is that the lead singer sounds too much like Jack White, who I also hate.
I slept with my face in the breeze from the fan Saturday night and apparently dried out my entire sinus system, as I had a headache most of Sunday including last night. This morning, though, I snuck down to one of the third floor bathrooms (which has a real shower, not a handheld one) and took a super hot shower, so I feel better today, at least. Which is good and bad, as I don't even have work to do now. It's very odd though, as usually I sleep with my mouth open (and dry out my throat), so I never imagined that it would be the fan that made my sinuses ache so. (A sore throat, though, I would have blamed on it in a second.) On the plus side, I'm not at all congested, as the ability to breathe through my nose proves.
I am, and this is very exciting, wearing my contacts today! Okay, only 3.5 hours so far. And really, it makes amazingly little difference in my life--I notice being unable to see things all the time, but apparently correct vision is hard wired in my brain, so it seems only right that everything is clear.
Walking to work, I saw an organizer/wallet sort of thing in the bushes at the park, but I was late enough for work that I didn't want to crawl around in the dirt to get it. So now, instead, I feel guilty that I didn't. "What if they really needed that organizer, and it's your fault they didn't have it?" stupid brain.
I still have nothing to do. I think I'll go look for insane people to read. (Where by 'insane' I usually mean "insanely boring", like Andrea.)
