And I have a draft. Quite possibly a very bad draft. I think I may have skipped entirely over everything that was actually *happening* in the story, and gone right to the end, but these things happen. (they happen a lot in my stories, actually.)

but it's a first draft, and it's done *today* and not this time Thursday when I wouldn't have time to do anything but mail it or not mail it. So maybe it'll get better. Maybe it'll even get better enough to go visit Hoboken.

Oh, it also needs a name, though I'm thinking I may call it just "Company". We'll see.

I should add one note: I think it's the first draft I've finished since I moved up here, 2.5 years ago. I *might* have finished something else since then, but since I can't think of any, it seems unlikely. So yay draft!
