okay. It's 1:15, and I have
  • picked up the living room a little;
  • folded all my clean clothing and stacked them out of the way in the bedroom;
  • put the bathroom back together (since I'd emptied out the under sink area so he could replace the faucet);
  • folded all the sheets and blanket for the bed in the bedroom, so maybe some of the wrinkles will come out;
  • emptied the dishwasher;
  • loaded the dishwasher;
  • washed a load of clothing;
  • threw said load in the dryer;
  • found some really scary stuff in the fridge;
  • and got the recycling together.

I'll take it and the trash out tomorrow on my way to work. Depending on when I get home, I may vacuum a little. I may just sweep. I may not do either. Chairs are still all covered in things, and the floor is messy, but at least it doesn't look like I'm such a slacker you would not believe. Which, sometimes, I'm not.

Oh, did I forget to mention? I have a friend from HS visiting tomorrow. he used to live around here, and still visits, and I've got really amazing luck at emailing him just before he comes here. He's coming through tomorrow, then going hang-gliding in MD (you'd have to know him from HS to understand why this statement still makes me snicker), and coming back through on Tuesday. I don't know if he'll be staying with me on Tuesday too, and actually I forgot to double check that he isn't allergic to cats. I don't think he is, but it has been a while, so who knows who the memory of his mom holding a cat may actually be of.

This is the boy I would have voted least likely to stay in touch with in HS, but in retrospect it's not that weird. I was in school with him from K on. He's the only person I've been in school with continually from then. There was a break of like 2 months cause he moved over the summer to a different school district, and I moved in October. We had a kissing game at recess in Kindergarten, and he kissed me. Not at recess, but because I flirted with him while we were waiting for the bus. Only time that's ever worked. In middle school he was little and scrawny, and when we did an exhibit on India, we practiced at his house, and he tried to get into the bathroom while we were changing (well, the other boys were trying as well, we just blamed him because it was his house. So we hung his underwear on the bushes in front of the house before we left. Tighty-whities, if I remember correctly. And I probably do.

Okay, so my bedtime. See you all tomorrow.
