May. 15th, 2006 11:37 amThere were no cute boys in the tea shop today.
Well, okay, that wasn't really true. He just wasn't a tea boy, he was a customer who was totally adorable (Gorgeous eyes. I don't ask for much, really, and he had utterly gorgeous eyes)
There have also been no cute boys at work today.
Further more, today I am intensely bitter about training people who are my superiors in how to do their jobs. I also apparently resent it when they can't learn things as fast as they should. And even more particularly when I've told and told and told them how to do it and given them written instructions and all that.
There is so much water. The swan pond is up over its banks. Not the worst i've ever seen, but that particular time was one flash-flood day, not midway through a rainy spell with another couple inches of rain expected over the next 4 days or so. Seriously--average rain for this month is apparently 3.24 inches. Which we nearly had before two days of 3+ inches of rain this weekend. I can't get it to show me the amount of precipitation we've had all year though--I think this rain was much needed, up until this weekend which has just been causing serious floods out in surrounding areas.
Ooh, interesting. Steve Almond's resignation letter (How *do* you tell if your summer love is a zombie?)
