tanaiseI love Matt Nathanson--he's one of my guilty pleasure singers, because I don't think there's really anything particularly fancy about him, but the songs are sweet and fun. There's this one song where he sings, "Revel in the memory of the smell of your body," all sweet about thinking back on someone. Except I don't hear that, unless I remind myself that's what he's singing. Otherwise I hear, "Revel in your memory, smelly old body."
I couldn't find my card this morning, which was a terrible shame since I wanted very much to go be fiscally irresponsible in Harvard Square. I thought I had my credit card at least, but when I got to the store and lined up everything I wanted, I realised I was on crack and had left it at home. I then tried to go the wrong way on the T (I know it's not the metro, because the metro lets me decide which way I'm going, where as the T, not so much.) So I just spent the extra money for another token because I wasn't sure what the protocol was for that. And when I came home I went through everything, and then again, and then looked on line to see when the last time I used my card was, and upon discovering it was just Friday (you know, I must have put a twenty somewhere safe, because I did not spend $40 in two days without *something* to show for it. I hope.), found the pants I'd been wearing that day, and sure enough, there it was. So i *did* get to be fiscally irresponsible after all.
