Jul. 5th, 2004 12:59 amI see from reading other journals that watching the boston Pops fireworks is not just local. I'd been considering going down to the esplanade where a prime piece of real estate had been staked out by other housers, but was leaning towards the tv, really, cause there were a lot of people and while I try not to panic about terrorists and such, at the same time, a piece of my brain kept yelling 'quarter of a million people', so I was pretty sure I didn't want to be there. But instead B invited me along with his friends, and I dithered for a moment and then said yes. And i am so happy I did because they were all really great fun and we laughed for most of the time, and the fireworks, as seen from the harvard walking bridge were pretty darn impressive, and still loud enough to hurt.
I think that's the way to do it, too. The concert last night, and then the fireworks tonight.
But right now the pain is finally getting down to the point that I think I'll be able to sleep, so I'm going to.
