tanaiseDinner: babaganoush, carrot salad, black-eyed peas with a tahini-onion yogurt dip, and something else...oh, salad probably. but I didn't like the salad dressing I picked, so I ended up not eating it. I'm being very good. I try everything, even when I don't think i'll like it. But B is not just a pretty face. He's even better at cooking than being cute, so that's saying a lot. So far I've only been disappointed by the blackbean cakes. I think maybe I'm not a black bean kind of person--the hummus last night was also meh. And I forgot to ask him to get white pitas next time as well. I loved his mint-onion hummus, but I think it would have been even better with white pitas--i don't like the taste of the whole wheat ones for some reason.
Dinner was outside on the deck again, accompanied by the remnents of tree sex. It's not a very efficient system, I have to say. The geek boy was visiting again and sat at the same end of the table as me. He's currently *really* reminding me of Dave in ways I can't quite put my finger on. They're good ways though, I can tell that much. :) Makes me suddenly *very* homesick for the freak table.
I am a quarter-finalist at WotF. Note the all important dash there. It goes peons, quarter-finalists, semi-finalists (who get crits, apparently), and finalists for the quarter. So I'm in a big-ish group, but not bad for my first try there. I'd send them something else if I had anything else ready to go out. Well, I mean, I could send them something older...I need to figure out how I'll be printing.
But now I'm going to bed. Love.
