tanaiseWell, I met up with Chance today for tea and the snagging of a Word program. Which is when I found out that had I asked her, I could have had a ethernet cable as well. Curses! My mother claims she's sending my Clarion cable, despite the fact that I said 'green, about 25 ft long." and she said "blue, about 4 ft long." yeah. that sounds like it's what I was talking about. Ah, well. even if it's just the short one, I should still be able to check email from my room, and it wouldn't hurt me to be non-internet accessible from my room. I might get some writing done. I might even get some slushing done, but perhaps we shouldn't get carried away.
Chance did see enough of my Chai boy to agree that he's cute. *She* says he's short, but anyone I have to look up to is all good with me. I forgot to check with her to see if she thinks he's madly inlove with me, but he gave me discount tea. :)
So, there's supposed to be two boxes of my stuff coming up here today. Maybe more--I'm not exactly sure how it all got packed. but I have recieved no phone calls from anyone, thus I rather doubt it's truly coming here (though of course my phone is up in my room, so I can't say for sure that there's no calls.) So it may just end up in Jamaica Plain, at which point I'll get to figure out how to get it from there. *sigh*. Closer than it has been up until now, so it's all good. I can transport it via metro even probably, if need be. It should be some books, some computer CDs, a couple of towels, the Firefly DVDs, and something else I forget what. but now, they're somewhere between here and there.
I didn't call my dad, because that's not the kind of dad he is. I did call my aunt and thank her for not killing him whie she had the chance. She said she did her best, but he was too slippery. Then we discussed me going out there. I might see about July 4th. I should have gone this week, but I didn't think of it until way late last week, but she says not to worry about advance notice, so I'll keep that in mind. For later. I go to bed now. Tomorrow, I have to figure out how to talk to people about getting more money. meh!
