May. 11th, 2004 03:24 pmIf I could, I would call down the ducks on my bank card, the little bank across the street, and the au bon pain on the corner. Highlights of today's lunchtime excursion include me not crying several different times. First, when the machine ate my card (well, first time it nibbled. Second time it ate.) and I had to go wait in the bank until they could fish it out. Then, when au bon pain wouldn't take my check card, despite having credit card readers. Thirdly when I realised that it had already taken as much time as I'd hoped to spend on lunch, and I still hadn't actually gotten my food to have and to hold yet.
On the music side, I still love my new CDs. Teitur, Jaime you would love his stuff. He's got beautiful, subtle lyrics. They're reminding me of Jack Johnson and Kelly Link, of all the people. And my favorite song today (Travis is a little depressing for too many days in a row. It's a beautiful album, but very political.) is from Muse, in particular, Thoughts of a dying atheist
(New favorite spam subject line: "kraft brothel". Presumably, it's a place for people who love cheese. *really* love.)
Yesterday, one of the guys here was showing around pictures of his new ferret and his older ferrets. I was sorely tempted to mock him for the names of his older ferrets, but refrained because to mock him would require admitting to the knowledge. The ferrets are named Kodo, Podo, and Mocha.
