Apr. 10th, 2004 10:03 amI am now at Dena's beautiful little house in Lynn. I even found a radio station that I don't hate (thus far) already, and I'm doing job type research online. The station's a little staticky, and I don't know what temp companies are good, but I'll see if I can't find something by the time I'm done here.
I have done a search of the Harvard campus to see what the best middle name to use would be. :) As of now, my middle name is "Putnam," like my dad's. No Jacksons (Eli's middle name), and while Woods Hole has a Redfield or two (Nate's middle name), there aren't any at Harvard. But Putnam is an avenue and a house, so clearly it's my best bet. :)
Hmm. Professional Staffing Group (http://www.psgstaffing.com/)has benefits and guarenteed work, and desktop publisher work (all in theory or after while), and that's pretty much my list, so I'll probably apply there. It looks like it's bus accessible from Dena's. And luckily I remembered to pack my portfolio (what little I have of it anyways), so go me. (and I really should write to someone at ESSI and ask them if they could send me a couple of the publications I worked on but don't have, such as the Quarterly and stuff, since I've only got about 4 books for 3 years of work, and some are so old and furthermore, formatted in Word, which should impress them just because Word is so evil.) Of course, it won't let me submit my resume because the site is evil. I'll have to email them. blah!
