I went shopping yesterday. I now have a pair of work pants, and two new pairs of jeans. I paid more for my jeans than I have for several years, and they still were about the third of the price of the work pants (which is officially the most money I've ever spent on pants, and about as much I ever pay for clothing in general. but then again, I shop sale racks.
I also bought CD-RWs. Which my computer also doesn't recognize. And so I try a random CD, and lo and behold, it won't play anything. Oh, how I hate my burner now.
