Mar. 3rd, 2004 01:38 amMy brother is actually even excited sounding at the idea of me moving to Boston. Apparently there's a friend of the other brother who goes to school up there, so nate was excited about me being able to send up stuff with him. "you could store it here," he says, all excited. It does look like I'm not going to be going to DC soon, since my cousin is probably not going there for a college interview (my aunt was going to pay for the trip so Amy would have someone to show her around town.). WHich means I really don't have much of an excuse not to start thinking about what needs to be done for me to go up there. Nate also said that taking the bus to NYC and then catching the bus up from chinatown is probably faster than taking it straight up to boston, so I'll have to look into the details for that. (you can apparently catch the bus to DC from chinatown as well, for about $30 each way--more than greyhound, but chris took it once and it sounded less scary than greyhound as well.)
My tenative plan is something like: go to Boston (sometime as yet undetermined) with a couple of suitcases. Look for job. Look for place to live. find job. Find apartment/room/whatever. Come home and get that which needs to go up, or coax people to bring it up for me. Such 'stuff' will include my two cats, Brainless the wonder boy and Mister fluffy pants. Thus, along with the shinies, I will have a cat incentive to find something up there. eeeek. It's very scary. I think I'm burned out on the idea ever getting interviews. eeeeek. So scary. I have to go read trashy novels until I forget about worrying.
