Dec. 12th, 2003 01:53 amThere's a group of us writers who hang out on AIM all the time, in a chat room, which anyone is more than welcome to stop by. We're sometimes even talking about writing, and we're always willing to talk about it if anyone has specific questions. We've taken to doing focused chats on individual stories--everyone reads the same story on the workshop, and then we get together and talk about what worked, what didn't, where to take the story and how to get there. It's always a mix of opinions and skills and all that. They're alarmingly fast and very hard for some people to follow, but it's fun just the same.
To get to the point of this post, there's going to be a focus chat on one of my stories, Blinding The Seasons next Wednesday. I think it's going to be at 7pm EST. If anyone not on the workshop wants to contribute to it, drop me a line and I'll send you the story (that's just the first 4 pages of it up there) and the intro notes I have on what I want the focus to, well, focus on.

Date: 2003-12-12 06:08 am (UTC)The chatroom has been a lot of fun when I've stopped by. The problem is that when I'm chatting, I'm not writing...
Oh, and it needs more people there at my noon, which is around 4 am, EST. Why aren't there more people there then? *sulk*
