Arthritis! This is unfair! My right wrist, elbow, and shoulder hurt (wrist most of all), and my fingers ache. And it's all of a sudden, and I don't like that. Though I had it last time the weather changed, just not so bad. This time is *so* icky and painful.

And I applied for a job. 30 hours a week, paying 7-8 an hour. Meh. I'd also have to find a way to get there and back. And that would also mean learning to drive, soon. I've also got to call the playground place across the way and set up an interview with them--my grandfather lives next door to the guy who used to own it (his son owns it now), and I'm told maybe they'll be able to find a place for me. *that* is walking distance, though they'll all gasp if I walk there.

My hip hurts too. And my neck. I want drugs!

Hey, I'm no doctor, but do you see a chiropractor for any of this stuff? Maybe you just need a tune-up!

Seriously, it may be as simple as getting a series of adjustments for a month or two and changing something you are unconsciously doing. I've managed to start sleeping on my back occasionally, which helps with the general back and neck, and about eight months ago when I began to have my right arm and hand go numb (painfully numb, if that isn't too stupid a thing to say) while sitting at the computer, I changed the mouse over to left-handed operation and the problem went away. Could it be something like that? Or have you been diagnosed with arthritis?

The non-Doctor is IN!

Chiropracter might not hurt, but I'm between jobs, so I'm avoiding spending money. Likewise the official diagnosis, but my mother has the same problems as I do, and I've been able to watch my problems progress from just the stupid hot hands thing I had in college to this, which my mom tells me is what she has. This is the second time something like this has happened, and both times the weather changed from warm and clear to cold and rainy, and the old dog started limping too, so I'm pretty sure it's what my mom thinks it is. Which is not to say that there's nothing I can do, but at least there's nothing I can do just now.

Playground place?

Would you get to, like, test out the swings?

It runs in our family. I don't know if I have it yet. My aunt (69 years old) keeps it tolerable by staying very very active. She says that it hurts, but it hurts more if you don't do anything. Walk a lot. Do whatever you like to do.

I've heard that glucosamine helps and I'm trying it now for an achy leg.
