If happiness is a new CD, what's three CDs and a DVD?

Overkill, probably. Plus, when I got home, The Alternative to Love had come in the mail. 4 CDs! The Animal Years, Hello Starling (oh, wait. It's a double CD. 5 CDs!) 4 Songs (the double), Mr A-Z (because my life was lacking Mraz), and The Alternative to Love.

In related news, my headphones are biting the dust faster than I like (which is not at all, thank you) so I'm going to need to look for some new ones. My requirements: foldable, small ear pieces but not ear buds (just not the enormous hearing test ones), a volume control on the cord, and cheap! I will laugh at you if you suggest anything that costs more than $20. Or that has big hearing test ear things. The ones I used to have are the Panasonic RP-HT46. I've bought 6 pairs, probably, over time. I'm down to a working pair at work and an okay pair here (they work because I tied a knot in the cord, which so far fixes it). These are *exactly* what I want. But of course, they've stopped making them, and I can't even find them at CVS anymore.

So if anyone has normal looking headphones that they love that they can recommend, that would be good. I can't even find normal looking headphones anymore at CVS--they've all gone to the 'back of the head' style that aren't going to work with a ponytail, or the ones that clip onto my ears. And I don't want them! I just want my nice cute cheap foldable ones. They aren't fancy, I don't want fancy! *hates overly complicated world*

Cow update

I'm at 62 cows, and I think I've now photographed every one that I've seen. So from now on it's hunting them out specifically, which means I"ll have to get out the map.

But for you all, in celebration of the milestone (more than half! Though I passed it a little while ago), Jazz Cow. Still not as cute as Goodnight Moo, but pretty none the less.

So I've been reading the slapfight, of course ([livejournal.com profile] secritcrush still has the best collection of links, though for some you'll have to dig into the comments. Next week someone else will be in charge of the slapfights. Dave, we think it's your turn, so brush up on annoying people.) I would just like to take this moment to say that if at any point in the life of the FB Jeremy had been sexist/racist/generally bigoted on the internet places where I saw it, I would *not* have defended him, nor said, "No, he's a wonderful person, really, once you get past the canibalism" I probably would have helped people kill him like the rabid dog he clearly would have been, or at least stood back and let them have at him.

In other internet slapfights, particularly the 'whip it out!" sort of arguments (jump down to the comments, they're the fun stuff), Peter Watts and Rob Sawyer are arguing about which of them is harder. Oh, the dirty!

Also, is it really behind your back if I know you're going to read it? I vote no.
