May. 8th, 2004 02:07 pmWell, I got woken up this morning by a phone call, asking me if I was interested in applying for this position: http://www.bhfh.org/Bhfh-Residency.html#AD I was tempted when I first saw it, as it does sound like an interesting job. Alas, it also sounds like a job that I would get very good at very quickly, and would end up with a lot of extra time and no work. If it had been part time, I would have been all about it. I'm still sort of thinking about it. Mostly I'm just terribly surprised that Beacon Hill called me to see if I was interested in it.
Monday, I have to call back the guy from Houghton Mifflin who called me on friday. I hate turning away work, as experience has taught me that I work much faster than I think I do, and every time I turn away a job, I end up finishing my work and having to scrounge for more work to do.
Tomorrow is meeting, and then clothing shopping for another pair of pants or two, and some new tops which will probably make me end up having to kill people. I really didn't think what I want was that alien, really. But so far I haven't had any luck finding people making what I'm looking for. Most knit shirts look like t-shirts, with the crew collars and everything. Oh, wait. Eddie Bauer's got some things that look right. So I'll be going there, and I also need a gap store, but I figure there's bound to be one somewhere downtown.
Oh, and the lilacs are blooming. I was worried, when I moved here, that they'd bloom at the wrong time. In DC, they're almost done blooming by now, and it never felt like it really was my birthday without lilacs. but here, they're just starting, and it makes me happy.
