I am drinking my most favorite tea in the whole world. It is also the most annoying tea in the whole world, due to being loose leaf. And not just loose, but made up of several different sized particles which results in large amounts of stuff being at the bottom of my cup. But damn do I love it. Matte Latte, by republic of tea. *sigh*

Woke up this morning, thinking it was ridiculously late. Got out of bed, turned off fan, walked over to couch, stopping to squint at VCR clock on my way (I'm *so* near sighted). 9:33. Hmm. 5.5 hours of sleep. It's a weekend, and it's sleeting. Pulled the comforter off my bed and curled up on the couch for another two hours.

I had cornmeal pancakes for dinner. Kept getting distracted by Xmen (*swoon* Oh, Hugh!), so they weren't as good as last time I made them. I think they were too thick--I kept burning them before they were solid enough to flip. Last time I wanted to make them, the store was out of Jiffy muffin mix and the syrup I use. This time they had the mix, but I forgot to check the syrup. Was okay, I just had honey anyways. I got into the habit of using it at school where the syrup was lite and just awful--the pancakes were even edible with honey. Cornmeal pancakes are great. Whee!

Warning: Linkage ahead. May look cluttered, but you should still look around in them when you have time.
No news for me from Strange Horizons, but one of my Clarion Classmates is going to have a gallery there at some point. (She's got a pretty fish fae up on Ebay now that I covet if anyone needs to buy me a present--I used to have neon tetras in my aquarium.) Also, a frightening number of Clarion Classmates (who don't any of them have web pages or I'd do something staggeringly clever here with their links--pretend I did, and be properly appreciative) have sold to Electric Velocipede, and I would be remiss if I didn't pimp them as well.

I meant to work on my Amish story, but instead I keep just going over it in my head. I want it to work, I don't want to force it, so if I have to spend the next week having minor epiphanies yet unable to write it, I'll deal with that. I'm all wound up lately, so I think I'm making it harder for myself to write. So I poked at Clanless again for the first time in a while there as well. I may need to make a mock outline to give myself a road map of where all I need to go for that. I think I have it all sorted out in my head, but it's a matter of remember when I'm trying to write.

Of to bed. Which innuendo-laden CD should I listen to tonight? Chemistry (semisonic) or Atomic (Lit)? (Interstingly enough, both have chemical symbols on them, as does my John Mayer CD, which is currently at a friend's house.) I think Atomic, as I'm in a loud, fast mood. (music, not anything involving either chemistry or innuendo)

Okay, I've beta tested this and all, so here we go: how I kill time at work.

What SF writer will you marry?

I can't take it, I know all the answers, but tell me what you get :) It's still a beta version--I want to expand the results blurbs, and make sure it's nothing that will upset people.

Yeah, same thing again.

What SF writer will you marry?

Now! with pictures in the results section, and two more questions in an effort to make people get something other than Neil. Not that there's anything wrong with Neil, of course, but come on, people, obsess much?

And I'd just like to point out that my quiz was written before this boingboing post, so I hadn't seen it when I chose a color for cory's answer. Hannah's trying to get me to post my quiz in the discussion area of that post, but Jer says it's stalkerish. "What SF fan are you going to marry?" and all. :)
