first I curse people who think Quakers and Amish are the same. then I borrow strongly from knowledge of historical quakers for the Amish. :-)

I may need to do more research for this than I think I do. Or perhaps just more handwaving.

Oh, great. Another story involving forbidden knowledge. I've got some sort of garden of Eden complex, I think. I should have known that wanting him to be named Adam was just a symptom of a much wider reaching issue. *stomps on story repeatedly*

And part of the forbidden knowledge is a language too, which makes for three stories with language issues.
