Aug. 7th, 2002 10:44 amhttp://www.albeshiloh.com/imaginings/ says that they're down to like 120 some pieces. They mailed out a big old armload of rejections Saturday and Monday, so I'm probably in there. So I can expect to find a self addressed envelope in the mail any day now.
Writing update
Aug. 7th, 2002 11:26 amFor those who are keeping track of this sort of thing. I have revised Sea Change extensively, but still need to fine tune it, I think. It's visiting a friend so he can see what Clarion taught me, and when it comes back I'll probably go through and put in all the damn setting details and such I remembered needed to be added. I've made all the technical edits to Firing the Dead, and am now ready to figure out the next to last scene, and some stuff in the middle where it drags.
As far as new stuff goes, I've typed in the first page of a story I wrote down at Clarion. But it needs a different POV, and I can't figure out how to shift it and keep the detail just yet. and today I had a really cool idea for another story, but the problem is, it's another damn mystery, and I don't think I know how to write them.

Aug. 7th, 2002 03:55 pmI"m starving, but we're going for ethiopean again tonight (roommate's last night in the US for at least a couple of months), and I want to be hungry for that, so no meal. I am broke, and will need money, so I could go visit the bank of CVS downstairs and get a water and a candy bar or so while I'm there. Right?
Now, you may be wondering why I can do this while I'm working. Because they haven't given me what I need yet. They confused me earlier with their stupid features and commentaries. And now it turns out that they only gave me one of the two. This would of course be after I'd already numbered pages. now I need to go through and renumber to accomodate the 4 pages I need to add to the document. but I'm not doing that till they give me the new story to add. stupid stupid stupid. grrrr.
