Today may be "Write to married Toms" day. We'll have to see. Wrote to Oakes (having multiple Toms in my past makes talking about them harder sometimes. Arendall was Fuzzy hair. Oakes got to be married Tom first, but only by a month or so, we just didn't know it at the time. Other people, I can distinguish between my corrie and my best friend's corrie, Fred from France and the rest of them, but the Toms have always been problematic. They were both mine, so that was out. Both blond, both older. Such a dilemna.

I'm not sure I get the point of the ads that say, "this week on felicity, a surprise twist..." and then have the characters saying, "Noel's dead." cause if that's the twist, well, it's not very surprise anymore.

Okay, I'm such a dip. I bought stuff yesterday--a gorgeous long aqua blue skirt in a satiny material from Monsoon (www.monsoon.co.uk), and a wiggly loopy ring from their accessories. And I paid with my check card for the skirt ($25 for a $100 skirt. Go me! Still the prettiest!), and the last of my cash for the ring. And then I bought scrubbing bubbles on my walk home (stupid parental visit. We've already expurgated the refridgerator poetry. now we have to scrub the appartment like we have nothing better to do.) and had to search all over to find my check card cause I hadn't put it back in my wallet. So I find it, and I pay. and then am I smart enough to put it into my wallet? No. I put it back in my pocket. How do I know this, you ask. Because I HAVE NO MONEY just now. And I can't even find my backup bank account card, cause I took that out of my wallet ages ago and put it somewhere else safe. And I'm starving, and promised myself a bagel for breakfast. But no, no money, no food. So it's me and less than half a bottle of Dasani.

And my birthday present from my brother came, and he drew me a card. (this is the 19 yr old.) "Happy Birthday to a very "special" sister." With an illustration of a short bus. I'm so going to kick his butt. Actually, and this is even better, I'm going to copy his birthday card, change all the 's's to 'th's. He lisped a little when he was little, and had to go to speech therapy for a while. We are cruel. The only downside of this is I'll have to buy him a birthday present. Suggestions are welcome.

And that's not even mentioning the stuff I've messed up at work, or the fact that I argued with my roommate all weekend, over the most innane things. For example, if 'most' of alexandria is east of Rosslyn. I won that one, though she still claims Old Town counts as 'most'.

It's just pre-Clarion jitters, most people say. At least I've got my laptop. It still loves me. Takes computers at least a week to hate me.

My freckles are now lopsided, at least on my neck. I burned the same part of my neck two out of three weeks, and now it's all freckled there, unevenly.

Oh, today may have been my new favorite day. Cute punk boys day. And the best part about cute punk boys is I don't think they're gay! I'm not sure, but after all, if they are gay they're totally out of fashion right now. And it's all about fashion around here.
At a stoplight in front of me, right square in the middle of the crosswalk. Tattooes stretching up to his elbows, rings and piercings galore, short spiky hair and a blue stud earring. Totally thug looking. In a very nice aqua green acura with--wait for it--some very elegant instrumental music in the background. Classical, or possibly Jazz. but I don't like Jazz, and I liked this so I'm betting it was classical. :)
A couple of blocks later, another punk boy, with the stripey bangs. I had such a crush once on one of the boys from meeting, with close cut hair and the fluffy bangs. I tried to explain it to someone recently, and it sounded really bad, but it wasn't. He was cute. I just remember that. And I nearly fell asleep on him at the concert.
