I am now officially snowed in. there was 12 inches of snow in DC when I woke up this morning, with no sign of it stopping till Monday, and predictions of the same storm coming through here as well. We decided I wouldn't get to home--most likely I'd end up camping out at the Harrisburg or Baltimore bus station, possibly until Tuesday. So I'm staying home. It looked innocent enough all day, unless you turned on the weather channel, and watched the on-site person standing in front of what could be recognized as the capitol building *only* if you looked *really* hard. And then about 3:30 it started snowing, and it's managed to cover the road already, and it's just the little teeny tiny flakes, so we're feeling more secure in our decision. Especially as my officemate tells me that she's got more than 12 inches on the picnic table already, and my stepmom says they're now predicting up to three feet.

It is so unfair that you guys are getting a Colorado-type snowstorm when they're lingering through a drought this winter and would give their eyeteeth for more storms like you're having! :)
