I'm very close to telling the scientologists at the metro that if I wanted a religon created by a sf writer, I'd make up my own.

What really boggles the mind about $cientology is that L. Ronnie himself said that writing stories and getting paid on a per-word basis was not the way to make money. To make money, he said, one needs to start their own religion. And he did so. And, unfathomably, it took off.
