So my dad says that my stepmom bought the puppy (sweet fuzzy red standard poodle named something like rufus or rumpus or riley--suggestions are still welcome) a new toy. I guess all over the place--another puppy, a new haircut, a chew toy. "you're off by about $25,000" he says.
My stepmom bought a minivan.

You haven't met my stepmom. Though, as my dad says, really, she just wanted a minivan, and the dog made a nice excuse.
