Writing Recap (Clarion jealousy, Firing)

tanaiseSo, they know at work that I'm going to be gone for 6 weeks, and they announced this fact, and why, at a managers meeting. And so one of the managers tells me that everyone was apparently very excited about the workshop, and envious and all. :) Go me! Still the prettiest!
And, after all that whining about my muse, I wrote something today. Not a whole heck of a lot, but a good bit on my scale. 500 some words, in a totally new world. Totally new as in, "invented in the shower this morning." It's flash fiction at the moment, as while the setting is larger than the story I wrote, I'm totally blanking on the plot/conflict/other people. It's called "Firing the Dead" and is a culture with a very elaborate death rite. Yeah, that's pretty much the only thing I know about it too. Thus the not longer bit.
