Okay, that's enough for tonight. But there will be more. Wait till I discuss my wedding and such. Well, what I want it to be. (Other than the fact that I'm giving up on music (see earlier entry). I'm just going to have to tell the DJ no Cecilia or he doesn't get paid. Or let the mister-to-be chose it. With the 'no Cecilia or he doesn't get Nookie" rule.) See, it gets complicated because I'm a quaker, and against the idea of anything really big, but I keep having thoughts, and having to balance what would be neat and what I would feel okay with.
Oh, wait, I did see a cute boy this weekend. He was part of the wedding party that was using Arch Street for the wedding. I just don't know what part. I'm thinking not the lead role, unless quaker weddings are the least stressful thing in the world, cause he was wandering around with a girl, super laid back and carefree. And I suppose they could be that laid back, cause there really should be a lot less stress, I'd think, being as they're a lot less structured. Right? I think. At least mine would be. but more on that later, as I need to sleep.

There are certainly lots of ways to have a gorgeous wedding without a big wedding. The one I officiated at was in a beautiful redwood grove. The ceremony lasted less than 10 minutes; the reception was a short walk away and had a variety of yummy food, mostly cold. They splurged on the cake (not worth it--most fondant icing tastes terrible! I'm going to have a variety of cheesecakes at *my* wedding). The decorations involved bright green pears, wildflowers and white candles. Just beautiful. They had their favorite music playing on a stereo. Nobody danced, but if an appropriate song and come on and someone had started dancing, it would have caught on. I thought it was a marvelous wedding. Since this was all in park facilities it wasn't expensive to rent(even my my standards--never mind "normal" American wedding standards). Plus being semi-outdoors meant kids didn't have to be left out, and could run around at will without bothering anyone. The next day they had a barbecue on the beach to celebrate being an official married couple. George and Monica rock.

You saw the pix of our wedding! Chris and I had a very laid back and not expensive wedding. Just think of what is important to you and your partner and all the rest will fall into place.

It is possible not to go into debt with a wedding. You just have to be willing to cut down on things. We had no DJ, no limos, and a very small guest list--about 50 people attending.

hugs...so when are you getting married? ;)
