Okay, Rory so doesn't belong with Dean. She belongs with Jess. he's much better for her. Smart, funny, etc. Dean is such a loser I don't see why one would stay with him. He's...solid. stagnant. Jess challenges her. Dean glides. now wintersweet may disagree with me, but I stand by my statement here. I'm rooting for Dean being taken out by a triple-twister while Rory and Jess are necking in the gazebo.

Oh, I agree completely! Dean bores me. I would totally have gone for Jess at Rory's age.

Hmm. Suddenly I'm not sure if it's a good sign or a bad one that you agree with me. :) Aw, heck, I'll take it as a good sign! Yay me! Besides, Jess has a cooler hair cut. The floppy looking dean hair isn't doing anything for me anymore.

I'll side with wintersweet. Sure, Jess is more interesting (in a pretentiously "look at how rebellious I can be" sort of way). But he stole her book and wrote in it. When I'm in charge, this sort of crime will be punished with the death penalty. I will never forgive him for this.

Dean is boring and needy, Jess is the kind of guy who's appealing to girls that age--definitely--and then ruins their lives. She needs to extricate herself from both of them by college, and find a real guy there.
