So, Darwin forgave me this morning, and was on the porch when I went out to look for Okie. Okie, of course, had a 9:00 appointment. He was least in sight until 12:02, just after the vet closed. Of course, this means no cat in boston. I am so mad at him. Bad Cat! CAT NOT OKAY.

Actually, he's fine, other than the not going to boston bit. He's nice and healthy looking, with has a thick winter coat, but bad texture, and messed up skin, so I don't know if it's flea issues still, or worms or what. He'll get a bath and careful attention sometime this weekend, and my mom might let him be an indoor cat again, even though she's not that fond of him. Except for the new leather couch, which even the little dogs aren't allowed to touch.

Darwin on the other hand--I noticed a matted spot on his face, sent him over to my mom, and looks like he's been fighting. She's cleaned him up for now, and I told him he could have some wet dog food as a reward for being *so* good. He only got upset about my mom poking around on his face twice, and one of those times involved her pouring hydrogen peroxide on him. I put his food on a chair, up above the dog. The dog, who is completely blind, knows the food is there, and is also pretty sure that the cat is there, so he's just standing below the chair, sniffing wistfully

Darwin, now done eating, is attempting to fit himself into an amazon box. "Aw," my mom says, "he wants to mail himself to you."
