Feb. 28th, 2006 01:06 amI clearly haven't lost my ability to detect singers I adore as background music to tv shows. The bachelor ended with a sweet retrospective picture show of the girl he picked (we won't talk about that), and I made the whole room shush so I could listen to it. I knew it was semisonic, and sure enough as soon as I checked danwilsonmusic.com, I found it mentioned. Gorgeous like his stuff always is--he doesn't have the best voice of all the singers I love, but it's one of the most distinctive ones, and I (clearly) could recognize it in a crowded room.
If I keep finding music I love, I will never be able to do anything but pay attention to who is playing in Boston when. Bad enough that I missed hearing Rhett play when he came through in October, but I'm going to need someone whose sole responsibility is to read the paper(s) and tell me when people I love will be playing where.
in a mostly unrelated note, I'm going to get to load all of my favorite songs onto my iRiver by hand next week, since I can't find a way to move playlists and songs from iTunes to iRiver. Curses.
